On Aug 4th, 2020, more than 200 people lost their lives and 5,000 were injured following the explosion of a warehouse containing over 2000 tons of Ammonium Nitrate at the Port of Beirut.

Lutheran World Relief wants to help rebuild and get people back in their homes. The most urgent need in Beirut is trying to help people return to their homes. At this time there are between 200 -600 households (300,000) displaced people.  Lutheran World Relief is assisting to replace doors and windows to homes that can be repaired, before they can be occupied.  By donating to Lutheran World Relief and earmark it "World of Good", it has the most flexibility to be used where needed most.
